Metalsmith & Welder
When I was 13yrs old, I used to take welding lessons in the shed of this woman’s backyard in a neighborhood called Redhook in Brooklyn, NY. It is where I first learned to oxy-acetylene weld and propelled me to start pre-college metalsmithing classes at FIT in Manhattan, NYC. Which also overlapped with my time at the Student Arts League learning Tig and Mig welding. At 17yrs old I graduated High School from Edward R. Murrow and put me on my path to earn my BFA in Metalsmithing from Savannah College of Art and Design.
